World Cup 2010 - South Africa

Anyone watch soccer on here? I have been getting up at 4, 7, and 11 for every game so far and it's killing me- so tired.
Usa game: Complete crap. That ref should be hanged.

It was a **** call for sure, but the US doesn't deserve to advance -- not enough people here give a **** about soccer. Countries that pour their collective heart in to it should always take it.
I'm currently in Oaxaca, Mexico and the people here worship it. It's ****ing beautiful.

Just because it is under appreciated doesn't mean the team doesn't deserve to advance. The players work just as hard as the players in the other countries. Yes, they are representing our country, but more-so, they are representing themselves. Our population, although not as ecstatic as other countries, is beginning to appreciate the sport more; This is the first year the entire World cup has been televised on American Basic Cable. So if the countries devotion counted for anything (which it doesn't, proven by France and England) than the US at least deserves to move out of the group rounds. If the team plays hard and play well, they deserve to advance.

Hey, soccer's been steadily gaining popularity in the US, over the last few years. This year, the US actually had the greatest increase of fans willing to travel to support their team.
440% more. ~statistics~

There's a soccer stadium being built in my old home town of Chester, PA, that's going to be the home of Philly's soccer team. The area was the super ghetto until they started building it. The locals are so stoked about it.

Hopefully I'll be going to that stadium. I'm transferring into Rowan University, so I will have nothing better to do than to go into Philly all the time.

I guess none our passionate defending of USA soccer means anything because they were just eliminated. Stupid Ghana.
