But I also don't understand the logic - or the part where I said I wanted her back...? I don't think I ever did? I think everyone is different and I'm not sure if me writing a love song makes me desperate - because I wasn't desperate when I wrote it... Nor are many other musicians I know who write love songs.
And I might be misinterpreting what you're saying, but it seems like you mean: by me writing a song for her, I am only reaffirming her decision to leave. If that's the case, I must strongly disagree with you. All people are made differently, think differently, and react differently. You are making some pretty big assumptions. You don't know me, you don't know her, and you have absolutely no concept of what our relationship was or is now. I swear I'm not trying to sound like a dick - I'm just addressing your thoughts and why I disagree. With that said. Love is a complicated thing and it has a lot to do with timing. Timing doesn't always synch up with love... and if you can understand that and still love someone ultimately, no matter who they end up with, you are making nice strides in patience and maturity.
