Trophy Scars sound exactly like Taking Back Sunday.
jkjkjkjkjk! before you get into other bands, listen to the eps. buy "hospital music" and "goodnight alchemy" (you don't need to bother downloading anything to preview, i promise you that if you like alphabets as much as you say, you will love the eps just as much if not more). once you get those and know every word to every song, then you can start expanding your taste. See, trophy scars is a perfect combination of every great band, so once you are completely obsessed with them, you should be able to enjoy enything from modest mouse to the blood brothers (as i see it- the two polar opposite forces that collide in the middle to make up trophy scars...(to be narrow...there are about 20 other bands that could be thrown into the mix)) What are some of the things you love about them?

hmmm. i actually should have asked what songs you like best. my bad. idk. it's so hard to stick them into something. but i understand you question. thank you for not asking what type of music they are or what they sound like. all the people i tell about trophy scars to always ask, 'who are they like?' if you're looking for another band that sounds like them in the way that 'early saves the day sounds kinda like lifetime,' then you are SoL. TS is the most original band out there. if you want some stuff that we like, maybe that can happen.

speaking of CTTS is it a movie in the middle of Interview at the ruins? ive always wondered. it sounds like a movie because it has that CHEETT sound occasionally. the sound thats made when they skip over dialouge
Speaking of CTTS; I met this guy in Savannah who was talking about how his best friend wasn't in his "sort-of big band" any more... and all this stuff... then I found out his friend was the former drummer of CTTS. Bossy had the coolest apartment in the world and he made me a drink. His entire basement was filled with records. Someday, I hope to go back and look through this albums and flip through his collection of Nylon magazines... and lol at the pictures of hipsters kneeling down before Cory Kennedy.
