I've been trying to be able to play Higher Ground on my bass at its intended tempo, and ive come to the realization that my small hands just arent capable.

I have the same problem. I have teeny tiny artist girl hands. I've dabbled in bass and guitar, but it seems so impossible to get any farther. Both of my sisters have huge hands and are fantastic musicians (they have a band together, actually.) I'm so jealous of them.

don't let yourself blame your genetics as an excuse for failure. keep working and do something great. everyone is capable of doing something great, we just let ourselves get out of it because we are too scared and/or too lazy to put in the work necessary to succeed. church.
